Having owned a German Shepherd for 14 years and living in Florida, this image is an epic understatement as to the shedding power of a dog.

Mine [if I can call her "mine"] does exactly the same thing, including rubbing against any and all clothes laying out. To keep something cat-hair free, it goes in the closet. ...Which she has learned to open unless it's latched shut.

I have a white dog (Japanese Spitz) called Momiji. She does exactly this. Comes and gets cuddles, leaves hair all over me, then trots off to do other happy things.
