Many creatures are often chosen as familiars, but not many mages would choose insects, especially those insects that are not of this world.
This insect is the informant of hell itself.
As a parasite, the host will gain various abilities, but ultimately, this insect's true nature is to devour, multiply, and destroy.
There's nothing that awaits the host except terrifying demise.
