In this image, VILLAINS: Let's see, Koishi is insanity personified, Yuyuko has eaten her gardener and plans to devour more, Mokou has given herself into pure madness and hate, planning to burn everything (even Keine), Sanae is a crazy shrine maiden, Byakuren is Youkai Hitler and the entire UFO crew (except for 2) is her Nazi brigade. Tewi collects moon rabbit feet, Hina burns Kappas, Star Sapphire is the true boss of Fairy Wars, Reisen II is a depraved psychopathic one-man army, Hong Meiling, and Koakuma is the Big Bad Devil.
Behold! One of the greatest epic tragedies ever told in the realm of Touhou. The corrupted image of a paradise, lost to madness. This is The Incident To End All Incidents. This is the end of Gensokyo.
That is, it will be. But not before Reimu, Remilia and co. has anything to say about it!

Forget Koishi (even if she is basically Gensokyo's equivalent of the Joker in this story). I hope Reisen II gets slowly mutiliated to death! What she did to Ran and Chen earned her a nice and slow, toes-first dip in a vat of acid! Nevermind the BS of her defeating them and Yukari in succession with no visible injuries!!

Cannot wait for the next episode.
I'll admit I'm not too far into this series and I skipped a bit, which is how I saw Reisen II vs Yukari but didn't Meiling get killed by Koishi? How'd she become one of the villains?
It's only a guess but a very likely one because at the end of Part 8, she survived (shown in an earlier part)and you can see Meiling succumbing to the madness along with everyone else.
I hope I'm wrong.

It's possible that Koakuma planned all that to get their powers after they died, like how she got Sanae's

Can I just ask you to put some spoilers in that? Not everyone's watched it, and her (seemingly) turning out to be the true villain was a big surprise.
But yeah, Gensokyo is divided, as the picture depicts. There's no doubt that Suwako is gonna come back with more than Sanae after she somehow deals with Komachi and takes her back.
I just realized, since most of the Touhous are either dead or crazy or missing in action, Marisa, Alice, Nitori, Eirin, the remaining members of the SDM, Suika, and the two tengu (if they even want to bother) are the only ones left to fight back the youkai horde. Things are looking its bleakest...
Even in the darkest of darkness, there will ALWAYS be a tiny glimmer of light, of hope.
I think the final battle will be taking place within some kind of dimension/dungeon Koishi created using Yukari's Gap Power. It would be a battle against an evolved Koishi who is now convinced of turning not just Gensokyo but Earth into nothing but her own plaything. Yukari's own soul somehow will give Reimu and Co the chance to put an end to this. But first, they have to stop Hijiri Byakuren. I'm sure Suwako and Kogasa would join the party sometime before the final battle.

That's a big guess. My guess is,
After even more Touhous die, Reimu and Reisen Udongein fight an incredibly overpowered Koakuma, meanwhile Marisa leads the resistance against Byakuren and her horde. Satori watches underground in her lonely throne as Gensokyo burns on the surface. Suwako goes to the Sanzu River and brings back everyone who've died in a big glorious comeback.
That's what I predict so far. This series is really unpredictable.
So the Current Deaths and Events that happened are...
Sanae was killed by Suwako using Kogasa's umbrella, during her death she realize that she becomes a demon and somehow manage to repent her sins to Kogasa, now Suwako together with Kogasa will going to the sanzu river where they will get Sanae back.
Starry has become insane that she brutally mutilated Sunny and Luna, Dai-chan also somehow got a yandere feeling to Cirno (I'm still not sure what happened to Dai-chan there), Cirno and Starry caught up on fighting to the death as the beginning of the New Fairy War.
Mokou is sick that humas have to depend on others that's why she burn and pointlessly killing people in the village, Keine somehow (I think) manage to save a girl that Mokou is going to barbecue but ended up Keine mostly suffers to some burns Mokou caused.
Yuyuko performs cannibalism by eating Youmu alive, she even stock youmu in a picnic basket.
The monsters in Gensokyo were been discriminated by humans, Byakuren become their messiah that they plan to eliminate all humans in Gensokyo so monster will have their own place thus she becomes Youkai Hitler. Shou somehow resisting Byakuren's plot so she ended up being tortured by Byakuren. Now if only Nazrin can escape Nue before she would ended up tha same as Shou's fate.
Patchouli and Okyuu have themselves in a duel but later on it was interrupted by a giant Suika. And during that battle, Remilia ask the two tengus to leave since they have no business in that place. I don't think Aya would just leave for the sake of her best article.
I notice that Medicine was been torn apart, I don't know if that one is Yuuka (because of the skirt) but please, please don't be Yuuka, the heroines have more tougher opponent to concern and if Yuuka is one of them... its quite impossible to speculate all things will ended up into a good ending.
Satori kills Orin, I think this one as Satori think its better to kill everybody before all people ended up losing their sanity and starts to commit chaos all over Gensokyo, she already foresee the outcomes and the aftermath of these battles and said that everything will just be in ruins so she will just make things as quick as possible to lessen the sufferings.
Meiling challenges Sakuya to a fight even though she is fully incapacitate, I don't know if Sakuya would accept that challenge but it seems Meiling will be too persistent to fight Sakuya on a duel to the death.
Marisa and Alice save Nitori for being barbecued alive by a Sadist Hina, Alice I think manage to throw a shanghai bomb to Hina, it is not clear if ever Hina survived explosion.
Having both the power to control boundaries and ability to mess up with people's subconsciousness, Koishi has become an ultimate threat to all, what things is she planning to do with this kind of power? Also Yukari, Ran and Chen already died that time.
Koakuma, is now telling some sort of evil things and she wants to influence Flan's mind so Flan would go on rampaging again. She now gains the powers of those who fall, Reimu arrives to save Flan for surrendering to her evil side and to stop Koakuma for her evil plots, but Koakuma was working together with the Lunarians, Reisen II almost had Reimu there but Reisen Inaba (With no clear reason how the hell did she get her feet back because Tewi has brutally hammered her legs) save Reimu's skin by stabbing a syringe on Reisen II's neck now, there's no explanation if ever Koakuma manage to escape from the rampage or Koakuma has now attain godhood and battles the two of them.
Furthermore I was looking toward for the next Episode, things really becoming freaky and awesome at the same time.

That's a great summary of everything that happened recently so far. But there's a chance that Koakuma already killed Flandre. But that's probably unlikely. Also, if Suwako does what I predict, then Koakuma loses all the powers she's gained.
In a Turn based RPG fashion, the boss theme for ' Kaokuma: Greed', 'Byakuren: Murder', Murasa, and Ichirin ( Vs. all three in the same fight), 'Sanae: Divinity', Fujiwara No Mukou: Fury and Yuyuko: Gluttony' would be 'Testament' from Xenosaga Episode 3
Actually Upon Readiing the Translated version of the chapter 10 Dayousei did mention something about the moon being strange that night(if i remember lunarians have some sort of insanity inducing moon device that would explain the apearance of reisen II) to cirno the day she became insane but also that implies that koishi is not responsible of the madness of gensokyo and its just a plan of the lunarians to kill yukari after her battle with koishi, that would leave eirin kaguya and reisen investigating this(as for tewi i think she was just evil since the beggining as an ally of the lunarians...maybe)

I just thought of something: Satori could have sensed the evil beginning to grow into Rin through "mind" reading, and decided it would be best to kill her off before Rin began causing trouble. I mean, she already has Koishi to worry about. The thing is, how Rin was acting makes the entire thing strange. Maybe her instincts to save Satori had taken over? Ironically, I completely forgot about Satori's power. But now that I think about it, it does make sense.

But thats just a hipotesis of mine
Dude you can see the future... well sort of Koishi is not responsible for the madness and Greatly implies that the Moonlight Descent is indeed a lunarian plan... and we havent seen Eirin or Kaguya so far
Koishi seems hasn't completely gain the control in her new body since Yukari soul inside it. now Yukari is trying to convince Koishi to help her to stop Gensokyo's destruction from this whole madness. There some still possibilities that Koishi could be a threat for both parties since there still hasn't a clear confirmation of which side she's going to join.
I lost patience after episode 7 or 8. After Yukari "kills" Koishi, which the fact that there are at least a dozen more episodes make it obvious Koishi is going to pull some absolute bullshit power-up, regen and then kill Yukari.
There's no logic to who goes batshit insane and who doesn't (e.g. the entire UFO crew except Nazrin for some reason). There's some sort of Highlander/Megaman kill-them-and-steal-their-power mechanic at play. The fridge horror implicit in Koishi's canon unconscious-related abilities is apparently too subtle, so instead she's an eldritch abomination. Of the two people (not counting the Evil Mastermind) who seem to know what's going on, one is about to die without explaining anything and the other is lying to their trusted subordinates.

In short, a clusterfuck.
Well I actually really love the way that the Koishi and Yukari situation ends. It's unexpected and weird but it doesn't feel like some bullshit power-up. It just shows you that the Satori race (at least in KKHTA) works a little different from how one might expect.
The insanity is indeed quite random. Though it did make some sense to me in a lot of cases, e.g. Nue the ancient yokai and Murasa, who was banished into former hell by humanity, being more on board with the crusade against humanity than Nazrin, a loyal servant of Bishamonten and Shou, who is all about pacifism. The "kill-them-and-steal-their-power mechanic" makes for quite an interesting Koakuma if you ask me. The way I see it, protecting and caring for Patchouli is her top priority, by her very nature. So when faced with the possibility of a war between the moon and Gensokyo, selling out the latter to ensure Patchouli's safety is only logical...despite how horrible it is.
It absolutely is a clusterfuck. Trust me it only gets crazier as the story progresses and the final episode...it's concept Koishi and punished Yukari living together in post-war Bavaria...I never would have seen that coming in a million years. It has weaker and stronger parts. It screams early internet and touhou fandom energy. I think it has it's charm and is worth a watch.
