本图绘制于 2018 年，当时应该是手游“明日方舟”的机能风 (Techwear) 大火的年代，经常有画师会设计一些采用了全透明半硬材料的外套。我虽然觉得的确挺好看，但出身工业设计专业的本能地觉得不透气会很热啊，硬邦邦的不会穿着不舒服吗？但这种反光又透明的材料的确在视觉上很有趣，所以就作为雨具画了这套着装。

图中角色艾斯婷 (Estinne) 是随意设计出来的。虽然原始文案上是基于西班牙巴斯克牧羊犬的兽人，但实际上仅仅是刻意地找了一种全身浅灰黄色的长毛狗子来作为设计的底本，以便衬托出反光和透明材质的服装设计。巴斯克牧羊犬并没有什么其他的特别之处，它们和土松、柴犬类似，其实都是当地土狗而已。

2018 年时我并没有为艾斯婷准备任何设定，个人原创作品“千变灵兽”的概念当时也还远远没有成型。如果日后千变灵兽的舞台要延伸到西班牙的话，或许我会让艾斯婷在作品中扮演一个角色。也可以将她的设定改成土松，名字改成更本土化一些的“艾思庭”。

This picture was created in 2018. At the time, a mobile game called Arknights was very popular. The game used primarily a costume design style called Techwear, and modified it into something known for its transparent, oversized coats with many decorative details.

I thought the style looked kinda cool with the reflective materials. But I also hesitated to draw such costumes — it must be rather uncomfortable and inconvenient to wear something that is so baggy, rigid, heavy, and unbreathable. It simply goes against my Industrial Design education background. As a compromise, I decided to experiment with the style as transparent rain gears.

The character in this picture is Estinne. She is a random character based on Basque sheepdog. I chose the breed for its grey-yellow fur color that worked well with the costume’s material.

I didn’t prepare any character information for Estinne. I might give her a role in Spirit Animals in Disguise. I later realized local rural dogs are able to have any colors, so I might change her breed to local Chinese rural dog breeds, too.
