あれだけホラー映画について詳しくなった紫式部だが、
推薦図書にホラー小説は交ざっていない。
どちらかというとＳＦ題材が多いような……
むしろ、ＳＦ小説ばかりではないだろうか？

　題名に、夏、や、サマー、といったものが含まれる
　当世の小説を幾つか手に取ったところ、
　偶然にもすべてＳＦ作品だったのです。
　そして、嗚呼……
　どれも素晴らしく胸躍らせる傑作ばかりでしたので、
　ついつい今年はＳＦ作品を主体に選んでしまい……」

Despite becoming knowledgeable in horror movies, no horror books are included in Murasaki Shikibu's reading list. The selection seems to be more science fiction-leaning...actually, aren't they ALL science fiction?
