Notice how each generation gets more over designed and less original.

Emboar and Infernape were both based on Journey to the West; I'd say those are pretty cool designs, same typings aside. And you think Charizard is original? :v

I'd say all of them but Blaziken are designed nicely (not that Blaziken isn't without its own cool factor). The last two gens are a bit over-designed, but I think if they started to balance simple and overdone designs a little more in the Pokedex, it wouldn't be so bad.

Less interesting to some but more conceivable would be a Fire/Rock type. I think the volcano theme still has potential that wasn't well represented by Typhlosion. Then again volcanic thunder would be wicked awesome.

unless the water was another Water/Ground that would break the balance of the trio. Which infernape already did once and that was annoying.

i think if there was gana be another generation the final evolutions shud be Grass/Psychic, Fire/Dark, Water/Fighting

Gen IV in retrospect kinda did a bad job of balancing the starters, seeing as how BOTH Empoleon and Infernape can beat the piss out of poor old Torterra. Though Torterra can at least Earthquake both of them....provided it survives long enough.

The problem with something that becomes popular, is that they, the product creators, will monetize the heck out of it with constant "sequels", "remakes" and "reboots".

Movies like "The Terminator", "Alien", and "Predator" were awesome when they first came out, but then were given new, bad remakes/sequels. Game Freak should have stopped after Inferape...or even with Blaziken.

But hey...go figure. The propect of milking something of more money it too tempting to resist.

I don't see how that applies to the case of Fire/Fighting repeat. By that logic they'd all be Fire/Flying because Charizard is the most milked Pokemon after Pikachu.
