    That's not that hard to believe. IIRC only Bayern, Dortmund and Leverkusen spent all last 20 seasons in Bundesliga (maybe Wolfsburg too, but I'm not sure). Now imagine saying to someone in 2004: "In twenty years Schalke and HSV will be struggling in BuLi 2 while Union Berlin, Heidenheim and Leipzig will be playing in Europa". They would've thought youre were insane or high.
