Dontohare or Dottoharai is another variation of "Medetashi Medetashi", traditional ending to folk stories.Thereafter, they who lived beside the river were met with great prosperity and came to conduct thanksgiving to the god of the river.One day, a kappa appeared and attempted to drag a horse into the river.Yet the horse's strength being enormous, the kappa was dragged out to the ground and was captured.While the villagers wished to slay it, one living around the stream released the kappa back to the river unharmed at the promise that it shall no longer play any further mischief.
