Okay, we need to get in quick on this.

So Sendai Hakurei no Miko literally means the previous hakurei shrine maiden, and I don't think this is her. As far as I can tell, this is Gensokyo's first Hakurei, the one from Mizuchi's time, while Sendai's meant to be the second-last. Even if they were the same character, she'd logically be in the same position as imaginary toutetsu and needs a tag seperate from the canon design.

Really, Sendai Hakurei no Miko as a tag probably needs some poor bastard to go through and disambiguate those using the MUGEN design from other designs. I've got the motivation to do it in theory, but I'd like to make sure there's a few people on the same page about the changes before I do anything.

Namely, in my eyes that'd be:
1: Make a "Sendai Hakurei no Miko (MUGEN)" tag, apply it to any sendais with the mugen copyright, have it imply the current tag
2: Make a "Sendai Hakurei no Miko (Osana Reimu)" tag, same as the mugen variant
3: Turn the current tag into a catch-all for all Sendai Hakurei fan designs
4: Give First Gensokyo Hakurei here a different tag entirely.

Edit: I've created a tag with a wiki entry for Reimu's Great-great-great-great-great-great-great gramma. If someone better at describing clothing could add in the tags for her design, that'd be appreciated.

I agree with your suggestions and honestly we probably should've done that years ago.

Aight, I've made the tags and I've created a BUR for it now.

Is 'Gensokyo's First Hakurei Shrine Maiden' the right tag for this? Both Gensokyo as an area and the Hakurei Family existed before Mizuchi's time, even if it wasn't sealed off back then. There's nothing to indicate that this Shrine Maiden is either the first Hakurei Shrine Maiden or Gensokyo's first Shrine Maiden. The only tangible thing is that she's the Shrine Maiden of Mizuchi's time.
Wouldn't it make more sense for the tag to just be 'Prior Hakurei Miko' or something without specifying when?

I honestly suggest the community as a whole should decide to give her a good fan-made name considering she's presumably Reimu's grandma, it doubt it would be that hard, it would also need to be meaningful name rather than just a random name.

She minimum has to be a great- or great-great-granny. 140 years (The Barrier was made in 1885 and Mizuchi is its casualty) is a little over 3 generations.

Don't forget the life expectancy and marriage/birth age of people back then are different from ours now. Even if the Hakurei mikos doesn't bear their own descendant (adopting) the actual generation count would be closer to 4-5 generations with around 30 years inbetween.

Reimu states in FDS Chapter 32 that the story of the Miyadeguchi happened "before gensokyo was born", presumably meaning that the miyadeguchi broke off from the hakurei before Gensokyo's modern incarnation was created. Most likely meaning the time of the Great Hakurei Barrier being formed. I named the tag "Gensokyo's First Hakurei Maiden" based on that; presuming that she'd still be the hakurei shrine maiden at the time when reimu describes Gensokyo's 'birth'. That's also why she's not 'the first hakurei miko', as the shrine definitely existed for a time before that.

It's to a degree a placeholder to keep it distinct from the Sendai Hakurei no Miko tag (which this was initially uploaded with) that I've mentioned really seems to need disambiguation, and is usually applied to fan characters that are more immediate relatives to Reimu. She needed a distinct tag; whether or not I chose the perfect name at the time was less important to me than the risk of further muddling a shaky tag with fanon and canon characters of entirely different generations. I know full well it's a mouthful; it's part of why I've been trying to avoid adding the full tag name to any other pages. It's a simple BUR to rename it if a better name comes along, but this works for the purposes in the meantime.

The japanese initial choice, for those curious, is "Sendai no Miko (Chireikiden)", which... is technically correct, but very confusing with the fan character added in. I'd be fine enough with a name like "Hakurei Miko (Foul Detective Satori)" or something to that effect, but part of me suspects that the talk of delaying the final chapter of FDS was because she'd appear in some form in Fossilized Wonders, and a more useful name may appear there.

Also, I effortposted on another of her early posts (post #9222690) but to summarise: no way is she just Reimu's grandma, there's at least another generation in there, probably two.
