perspective. looking at something from above as opposed to the side will cause it to look different.

Also, at first glance I think that Remi's just an old friend, as I dont know what kind of ex would bring her younger sister/possible daughter to any sort of date with Kogasa.

Remember that Hitoshi's original car was desolated when he came back from America. From the still-extant Invasion box, THAT was about ten years ago, so this is the replacement, apparently. (So Remilia was probably teasing him about getting a completely new car, rather than a used car.)

I've never had a new car myself, but I suspect this is what goes through someone's mind when you decide to eat over new upholstery.

Damn... I know they cute and all but, you can't mess up a new car. It's against the rules. I'm sorry...

Why are they all doing this?

Given that Sanae-wife has a soft serve ice cream that's starting to melt, she'd better eat it, and as soon as possible. It's not like refraining from eating it will make it less messy.
