Not surprising. For the longest time, Azur Lane was rated 12+, despite being heavier on the fanservice than even NIKKE. Before the most recent event, they raised their rating to 17+, probably because of that one skin that allows you to remove a shipgirl's underwear.

Interestingly, BA was perfectly fine with a 13+ rating until Aris' introduction scene. No one cared about minors shooting each other and having questionably appropriate interactions with their teacher until there was a naked loli. That was the first time the game had to be censored officially by the Devs "at the request of a third party", leading to the age rating being raised and the censorship undone after player backlash.
