Every autumn in Gensokyo, the Prank Festival comes around, and many people dress up in costumes. As well as the standard ghost and devil costumes, maid, doctor, and even soldier ones can be seen. But what if someone told you they weren’t costumes at all? Let’s take a peek and see how this Prank Festival is shaping up in Gensokyo.

In a place crammed with powerful people, a strategy meeting was being held. Belonging to one of Hell’s more violent groups, Yachie Kicchou excels at tactical thinking and surprise attacks. She’s been having a hard time with her fellow denizens of Hell. One is meat-headed and fight-thirsty, and the other prefers to remain independent and eats anything she finds. Shou Toramaru is an excellent fighter and a member of the group that attempts to guide people with the light of dharma. However, it’s said her habit of losing things causes great strife for her mouse subordinate. Soga no Tojiko plays a supporting role within the group of proficient senjutsu users. She and Shou’s group are rivals, and it seems she, too, faces difficulty keeping one of her fellows, who seeks more power, in check.

During the temporary truce, the rival powers came together. With a common goal uniting them, three representatives gathered for a strategy meeting. This time, their plan had to succeed, which meant it needed to be more detailed and precise than ever. As they examined all the latest information, their new-and-improved strategy document took shape. Without the time for a proper peal, the three ate their designated rations and continued their discussion. But it seemed each of them had ideas of their own…
