I believe that each magician possesses his or her own unique capacity for magic. Currently, I think it is impossible to increase one's magical capacity. I've lived for a long time as a magic user, but I haven't gained any magical powers which my body would be unable to manage. ...but, nothing would change if we remain mired in the processes of conventional thought, not to mention that there are as many spells we have no knowledge of as there are stars in the sky. There may very well be a spell which could raise the limit of one's abilities. ...or, perhaps it would be better to consider that there is no limitation at all in the first place, so raising a magician's status would not be unlike raising their magical power.
