You all have witnessed the truth behind any kind of advertisement.

Japanese's aesthetic cuisine culture called moritsuke (food arrangement) under shojin ryori. http://www.scribd.com/doc/52901128/Japanese-Food-Presentation-and-Styling-Techniques

The purpose of adding "inedible" part is to give out seasonal landscape or to enticed the menu description. Observe that even the food are presented on a wooden boat. Imagine what's in your mind about seafood: fish, lobster, boat, seaweed, et cetera.

All fine and good but WHERE THE FUCK IS THE LOBSTER BODY? Hitoshi and family have this uncanny knack of being drawn to tourist traps, both abroad and at their own country.

This brings back some memories of traveling. This happened to me quite frequently. But the look on Flandre's face reminds me that: Food is food, no matter how small the portion is.

Atai: Actually, looking closely at the stem of the fish head, there's NO flesh left on that fish. It ALL went to the sashimi plates, leaving just the skeleton.

Well, it's four sushi/sashimi dinners. Depending on quality, that sounds somewhat appropriate.

"Fraud" is called "A Delicacy" when it occurs in restaurants.

A "delicacy" is either something nobody would willingly eat normally, or comes in quantities that are tiny compared to the amount of labor involved in serving them, so they have to jack up the price and tout how "exotic" something is to sell it.

Hence, a steak dinner is $10, but wren's livers or otter's noses or whatever are $50.

(I AM IN DESPAIR! THE FACT THAT PEOPLE CALL DISGUSTING GARBAGE DELICACIES HAS LEFT ME IN DESPAIR!)

Don't worry; you will forget all about it by the end of the episode, and never bring it up again. :P

    That Will Be ¥10,000
Wish they'd leave off the name on the flag—it's embarrassing.
    ...a shipwreck?
    Reality
    ...What the hell is this?
Okay, now to enjoy eating some boat-wrap sushi!
    Ideal
Maybe this is separate from the boat-wrap.
    Huh? The sashimi's served separately?
