I think it was starting to go wrong when the USSR came down.
You know,every classic future form 80s are still having USSR or AXIS inventing their crazy plans.

Most people like something futuristic and sophisticated, but mostly the reality is different from the original concepts. So, what we think as the future is only a concepts, but the reality is the future is already happened in our lives. Technology will always evolved, following human's evolution

Well, 2019 has come and gone. And still no anti-gravity cars available for anyone. How sad.
