Shinmyoumaru Sukuna is a proud descendant of the inchlings, who carries the Miracle Mallet, a magical item that once belonged to the legendary inchling hero, Issun-Boushi. She has teamed up with Seija to save the weak. While she may be small, she has big ambitions.

Seija Kijin is an amanojaku and an ally of the weak and the downtrodden. She has joined forces with the inchling Shinmyoumaru in order to create her ideal world. Is she smiling in anticipation of the great and honorable deeds they will accomplish together, or is there another meaning behind it?

Paradise for the Weak
We live in a world where might is always right. Those who have power rule, and those who don’t are destined to be nothing but pawns. Even Gensokyo isn’t exempt from this injustice. It’s a travesty. Do we have no recourse but to live our downtrodden lives in suffering? No! There is something we can do. We can build a paradise. A paradise for the weak, made by the weak. It is precisely because we are weak that we can see what others can’t. Today is the day we fight back.

“We’ll finally show ‘em how strong the weak truly are!” loudly proclaimed Seija under the light of the Moon. Shinmyoumaru joined her and raised her arms, declaring she’d restore the honor and status of the inchlings!

Shinmyoumaru cursed her ignorance. She had no idea that her fellow inchlings were treated so badly in the past and that Gensokyo was such a cruel and merciless place.

“Can the small never beat the big? Does no one care that we’re being oppressed? I’ve been living all this time with my head in the sand…”
Shinmyoumaru knew that she couldn’t undo the sufferings of the past, but she could put a stop to the ongoing indignities that Seija told her about. Saving the weak and downtrodden won’t be easy, but she now knows that the Miracle Mallet has the power to make this possible by turning everything on its head. Seija also informed her that the mallet can only be used by inchlings, so Shinmyoumaru is the key to their success. “I’ll rise to the challenge. I’ll save everyone and become a hero!”

“Everything’s proceeding as planned,” chuckled Seija to herself in the shadows. “Sure, saving the weak and the oppressed is one of my goals, but I’m an amanojaku. I wanna turn EVERYTHING on its head. I wanna bring chaos and disorder to this peaceful Gensokyo and rule over whatever remains.

That naive inching lapped up the false history I fed her. Each time she uses the Miracle Mallet, it empowers me with a little more magic. I can feel the power I need to fulfill my ambition welling up inside me. I’m gonna keep using that inchling as I watch the gods who reside in tools and the temperamental youkai unleash their pent-up anger and frustration. This is what I always wanted! This is my ideal world!”
