    どうも、マニュアル外のことが起きるとフリーズする人みたいでした。
    結局辛いの我慢してましたが、そのあと食べた料理の味なんかわかんなかったよ!(笑)

    Ask for butter or olive oil, then (or whatever other culinary fats are part of Japanese cuisine)? If the thing about milk is that capsaicin is fat-soluble, then those should work as well.

    Edit: Now that I think about it, I wonder if the sensation would have been worse if Nijimura Okuyasu had taken the "augmented" takoyaki...

    What sort of backwards establishment is this if they offer super spicy meals but no "wuss out" option?

    So they serve milk cocktail, but not milk... Kinda of reminds me of Leisure Suit Larry 7when you have to get lime juice to make the Venezuelan Beaver Cheese.

    Milk eases spiciness? I have learned something new. I usually eat cookies to cool it down.

    Why do I get the feeling the third panel's sound effects are something akin to the "lost connection" sound on a phone? Or a 56k dial-up sound?

    For some reason I just imagined the "You've got mail!" AOL sound clip.

    {has a feeling he's going to get laughed at for his attempts at interpreting hand-written katakana}

    Edit: Okay, I *think* that's a su katakana I'm looking at...Not that I have any idea what the sound effects signify, although the first two do seem to bear out the idea of a phone or other device shutting down.

    Edit2: Now fixed to be represent the fi sound...but what sort of object makes that sort of sound when crashing?

    Well, running the Pixiv commentary through BabelFish, Hitoshi did mention that the miko-waitress seemed to be frozen when facing a situation that hadn't been explicitly covered in the manual. I guess this is the restaurant equivalent of an illegal value error (a modem receiving an unintelligible call signal type?)...

    Yes, milk works because it undoes the connections that spicey things do to your tonguew nerv cells - so to say. Another way to get some ease is bread, simply bread.

    On another note, do NOT use water. Water will only make it worse because the spicey substances are spread further around. Beer and other water based liquids dont work either.

    any carbonated drink will only make things worst. Beer, coke, soda, etc., you're better off continuing eating something non spicy or bread if you can

    Goddamnit, I hate restaurants who can't serve anything not on the menu, even if it's the slightest modification.

    My cafe doesn't serve off-menu ingredients because it would dig into our daily inventory check. We don't have a say in this.
