Yeah.

The fun part is the group who initiated it, Collective Shout, is a Australian fundamentalist conservative Christian group using feminism as a cudgel to ban pornographic works, which includes LGBTQ+ works. You can really cherrypick/conveniently ignore any part and craft a narrative supporting any viewpoint you want.

They wrote an article calling Cuties a brilliant social commentary and overall good movie though. So once again, it's the pot calling the kettle black.

hate to be the devil's advocate but has literally anybody here ever watched cuties or is this like, the new version of GTA where people don't watch it but say it's bad

I don’t need to watch a movie that sexualized hundreds of real life underage girls looking for the "right" girls to sexualize to decide that a movie that sexualizes real life minors to tell the very obvious message "sexualizing real life underage girls is bad" is a deplorable, hypocritical movie.

Why the fuck would I watch such a disgusting movie just to reach a conclusion that didn't require watching it?

For the last decade, loli content has been on the "frontlines" of the censorship war. It's always the easiest thing to target because no one is willing to defend it. Lolicons have been saying for years that it wouldn't stop at loli/shota content, and now surprise surprise, it hasn't stopped at loli/shota content.

This is literally mentioned in the commentary, btw.

You do need to watch something before judging it, end of story. if it was actually pornographic, it would be taken down. There's no such thing as "noble ignorance". That's what the pro-censorship crowd is advocating for. "I'm too good to empathize."

I don’t need to watch a movie that did exactly what it was supposedly criticizing to judge it, end of story. I know what's in the movie, I know what went into making the movie. I gain nothing by watching it. It was not necessary to sexualize real children to tell its message. Anyone who defends Cuties has zero integrity and their opinions are worthless, especially if those opinions are, "sexualizing women in media is bad."

Streets are saying they pulled Mouthwashing from Itch too, even though a) it has no explicit scenes and b) the only sex in the story is all but stated to have actually been rape. So not even a week in and this is already extending well beyond what any sane person would consider porn, let alone CP.

It seems it was the developers themselves that pulled it (they removed the files, but they still have a download button linking to their Steam page), and that was in 2024. Consequently, the page was also de-indexed at that time, but the actual page is still up. It’s just not available in searches because it doesn’t meet the criteria for getting indexed.
