I'm pretty sure that this does not straddle the line of "furry" and "cartoon animal". This is WAAAY over on the animal side.

It isn't furry, and, as according to what is "generally accepted" in the uploading guide - "Anime-style renditions of characters from Western animation or comics" - saying it isn't anime-related isn't grounds for a deletion flag. That said, even as a fan of MLP:FIM, I don't think this piece would have made it past the moderation queue, so for that reason I'm not going to appeal.

I don't hate ponies but they have already infested half of the internet. We don't need them here as well. I bet they have their own booru anyway.

They do, but the layout is awful and the image standards are worse. I uploaded this knowing full well it would be flagged. I just wanted to test the waters and see what kind of support it has on here. If you don't like it, you can always blacklist it.

As a Janitor I can say this is far above the average standards for art quality, and would definitely have been approved if it in any way referenced, say, mahou shoujo madoka magica (which has horrible standards, by the way) or touhou.

True enough. In the end it all comes down to individual standards and taste, I suppose. There are images here that I would approve but are not, and there are those that are allowed in that I would let pass by.

You of all people should know that arguing that there are worst pictures elsewhere doesn't justify the posting of a picture with bad art, especially if its not anime related.

Once again, this place makes no sense. This picture's been flagged and re-approved once, and as best as I can remember, it was Ecchi_Kitty who marked it the first time. Why not just black-list the tag if you don't like it that much?

Or do some people feel offended that it's here? I dunno, this and that other picture seem to be proof for the argument of restricting "Flag this post" option. And those two pictures are the only ones flagged, when Anelaid uploaded an MLP picture (which is perfectly alright because HERP TOUHOU)...

I'm fine with Friendship is Magic, otherwise I wouldn't upload a picture related to it.

You're taking this way too personally and are haven't made any arguments for its defense. The system is designed to allow an image to be flagged multiple times, and notice, only these two posts have negative ratings and a long history of being flagged.

It has nothing to do with the content as much as the art is bad and since it isn't strictly anime related, it needs to not have bad art.

TheoBlood negged him/her for it earlier and I assume that if it keeps up that he/she will get a block in the future.

Speaking of flagging reasons. I think JJ is an OK artist, though OK typically isn't enough for Danbo standards. I wouldn't flag a pic unless I feel that it's a blatant violation of the TOS or the picture is of a quality not fit for Danbo and has no redeeming qualities. However, "Fucking Ponies" itself is a terrible reason to flag a MLP pic.
