Please to meet you, hello, I am Takatora of YAYUYO. I am truly grateful for your procurement of "The Name of the Flower". I hope you enjoyed it. I drew this book as the sequel of the previous book, "Ye fair green hills of Galilee". I think reading both "Ye fair green hills of Galilee" and "The Name of the Flower" in order will give the best reading experience. This is a story I drew while thinking about youkai in general and Yuuka in particular as living beings. Youkai are commonly said to be born from humans' imagination, and cannot exist unless humans believe in their existence. Then, why and how are youkai born? Even though youkai seem to live aimlessly and instinctively, wouldn't they have goals for their lives? And then, are youkai long-lived, not because they naturally have long lifespans, but because they can't die like humans do? Those thoughts became the impetus for this story. Furthermore, I couldn't get out of my head the image of Yuuka crying while petals flow from her eyes, so much so that I was seeing it in my dreams; I had to put it in a story. My head is as strange as always... This time, I think I have managed to let out most of the expressions of my love for Yuuka and the ways I wanted to see her depicted. Even then, I am still not very good, nor very confident, at the field of manga... I would like to steadily continue drawing and take steps in improvement. If you please, I would love for you to continue to accompany me in the future. Thank you very much for reading all the way to here! If you have feedback, I would be delighted for you to send them to me. Takatora
