I sometimes wonder if if P1 and P2 are going the way of Street fighter 1 where "no one" cares about those characters anymore.

I'm going to say since P2 is getting a portable version that, yes, people still care about them. P1? Not so much.

Still, this is a fighting game, and what is a fighting game without bizarre crossovers? Though I'm more expecting Demi-fiend and Raidou to show up.

To be fair every once in a while Capcon dusts off those characters and makes something neat. Eagle in CvSNK2 is prolly my favorite.

And the SF1 fighters did get redesigns in Alpha, and later went on to appear in SF4 among others.
