Not really. The contribution of a single kana translated at the very end of the comic is none, and it creates a false impression that someone is working on it, so it's actually harmful.

Your face is moot. The question here was of proper danbooru translation etiquette, for one thing, and anyway, whether or not someone, somewhere on the internet edited "some of the series" has very little bearing on what we do here.

But it saves us some work. If a random user can't translate え？, I never want to hear you jerks say "oh, it's just moans and sound effects, I'll just remove the tag" again. It's your responsibility to translate them now.

Unless you were in a bizarre accident in which you were bitten by a radioactive hentai, there's really no moans in this yonkoma. So no, no work saved.

As for the joke, the "Shiki" bit of "Shikieki" means "four seasons".

Granted, it may not be much of a contribution, but I honestly don't see it doing any harm – the "impression" it creates seems rather trivial to me. I started out with one-word translations myself. We don't want to discourage translators, do we?

As for the moans and sfx, there are many comics where translators don't translate them, or even say "it's just sfx" and remove the tl_req tag without translating anything, and the like. I was speaking to all translators as a collective entity and saying: if you don't want to translate those things, at least don't bitch when someone else does it. いいか。
