Meiling from the fighting games looks like she's doing more ba ji quan than tai ji quan. My personal headcanon says that Mokou would probably have picked up martial arts in the first few hundred of so years of her immortality, and the only kicking focused art I can think of that old is Northern Shaolin.
If it is kicks Mokou may use a more honed and refined version of Chikara Kurabe. If she faced Tai-Chi Chuan perhaps she'd oppose it with Aikijutsu maybe.
I always figured Mokou's martial arts would be slightly reckless. She likely has an absurdly high pain tolerance and doesn't have to care so much about wounds. Whirling waves of flaming death aside, I agree with the notion of it being kick-based, whereas Meiling's would involve kicks and palm strikes.
I can also picture Mokou using slams and grapple+breaks when she's really pissed.
