There is something that bugs me about Kogasa: scaring and surprising people is how she feeds herself, and she can't tell the difference between a genuine reaction and a faked one (or in this case, between a complete lack of surprise and being paralyzed in fear). Doesn't she feel any different when she gets a good scare out of someone and gains sustenance?
