    コッドピース

Literally "bag piece" or "scrotum piece" in Old English.

A covering flap or pouch enclosing the male genital area, attached to the crotch region of pants or some other garment. Essentially the European equivalent of a penis sheath.

Most codpieces are made out of cloth or leather, though metal ones also exist, sculpted to fit a man's scrotum and penis. Medieval armor occasionally incorporated an exaggerated metal codpiece to imply the wearer had an especially large penis.
