The principal antagonists of the Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000 franchises. As the name suggests, they seek to break down order and will often fight themselves as much as they fight the organized factions opposing them. Chaos is centered around four principal deities, Tzeentch (god of change, plots, and knowledge), Khorne (god of bloodshed, violence, and rage), Nurgle (god of pestilence, decay, and despair), and Slaanesh (god of excess, decadence, and perfection). Each god has its own symbol, but Chaos as a whole is represented by an eight-pointed star with a circle running through it. Those who fall to Chaos are often subjected to insanity and mutation.
