    Hair that drapes forward to hang in front of the forehead. Known in British English as a fringe.

    As it would apply to almost every post on the site, the base bangs tag is no longer used.

    Types of bangs

    arched bangs - For bangs curving upward
    asymmetrical bangs - For bangs worn half combed back, half loose
    bangs pinned back - For bangs that are kept in place by a hairclip, a hairband or manually
    blunt bangs - For straight-cut unparted bangs
    braided bangs - For bangs that have been braided (see also braid)
    center-flap bangs - A combination of blunt bangs and double-parted bangs that results in a distinctive flap of hair
    choppy bangs - For bangs with thin gaps of air between them
    crossed bangs - For bangs that criss-cross each other on the forehead
    curtained hair - For bangs that briefly arches upward then hangs back down while the bangs part to the side
    diagonal bangs - For bangs that are cut in an odd diagonal line
    double-parted bangs - For bangs that are distinctly parted in two different spots
    colored bangs - For bangs that are colored differently from the rest of the hair
    fanged bangs - For bangs with thin longer sides
    hair between eyes - For bangs that are found between eyes (often paired with crossed bangs or double-parted bangs)
    hair over eyes + eyes visible through hair - For long bangs that cover both eyes partially
    hair over eyes + covered eyes - For bangs that cover both eyes completely
    hair over one eye + eyes visible through hair - For bangs that cover a single eye partially
    hair over one eye + one eye covered - For bangs that cover a single eye completely
    long bangs - For unusually long bangs that go past the eyes at least
    loosely tucked bangs - Uncut, very long bangs being tucked away to the side but still hangs loosely over the face
    parted bangs - For distinctly parted bangs
    short bangs - For bangs short enough to at least fully show the eyebrows
    swept bangs - For bangs loosely combed to one side
    v-bangs - A variant of blunt bangs that are longer in the middle than the sides and come to a distinct point in the center, forming a "V" shape on the forehead
    wispy bangs - For bangs with large gaps of air between them
