Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) is a manga series by Horikoshi Kouhei that has been serialized in Shounen Jump from 2014 to 2024.
Set in a world where some many were born with various types of superhuman powers called "Quirks", with some choosing to use them for benevolent (as "Hero") or malevolent (as "Villain") purposes. The series follows Midoriya Izuku aka "Deku", a boy with an unstable Quirk who attends the U.A. High School, a school that is specifically made for training their students into Heroes.
The manga spawned a media franchise, leading to numerous spin-offs and adaptations, including spin-off manga, light novels, stage plays, video games, and multiple animated films and original video animations (OVAs). An anime series produced by Bones aired for eight seasons from April 2016 to December 2025.
