She is the current queen of the Kingdom of Troyca, a wealthy nation dominated by merchants and aristocrats. Before becoming queen however, she was a simple commoner that wanted to learn as much as she could under educational policies established by the former Troycan queen only known by the title of "The Queen of All Things," only for said queen to gain an interest in Dominique, giving her the right to succeed her should anything happen to her. Following the Queen of All Things's death and pending resurrection after losing her life during a major Gate incident around 50 years before the events of the game, Dominique became queen despite protests from the aristocracy. In spite of her crippling social anxiety and rampant opposition from the wealthy, she wishes to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor by creating more robust policies in commerce and education, with support from Jade's Merchants' Guild, the most powerful merchant group in Eden.
