References to video game glitches, often a side effect caused by code editing or programming overlook, the latter often sought by speedrunners to quickly beat games as fast as possible. Among glitch effects are distorted or stretched 3D models, corrupted graphics and broken gameplay mechanics. One glitch may also cause a chain reaction of other glitches.
Not to be confused with glitch, visual artifacts caused by technology malfunction or corruption.
