Andrew Hussie, the author of Homestuck, hosted an event to celebrate his 40th birthday where he hid a box of Toblerone chocolates in a cave near Point Lobos, California, USA. The first person to find these chocolates was Twitter user placeholder4abn, who then declared that as a reward, Hussie should make June Egbert canon. Hussie, in response, said that "it will be done," making the character of June exist in a semi-canon capacity.
She is typically drawn in a very similar manner to John, with the only visual difference being that June tends to have medium hair.
