Eleventh letter of the Greek alphabet, and precursor to both the Latin letter L and the Cyrillic letter El (Л). The lowercase variant (λ) is also a recurring symbol of the Half-Life franchise, typically associated with Gordon Freeman, Black Mesa and the rebellion against the Combine in Half-Life 2.
