One of the earliest styles of rock 'n roll, originating in the 1950s. The genre had a particular fashion subsculture associated with it, which saw a resurgence in the 1970s.
Rockabilly fashion involves a color scheme consisting of reds, blues, blacks, and whites. Skirts and dresses are often worn with petticoats to give a "poofy" silhouette similar to that of Lolita fashion, while other common garments include high-waist pants and shorts, pencil skirts, and pinafore dresses. Clothing is often patterned with polka dots, leopard print, stripes, or sailor motifs. Hair bows are often worn on the head.
