Due to her sometimes using masculine pronouns and language, some fans theorized she was actually a boy. As a result, like Shimakaze (Kancolle), Shigure has a great deal of trap and genderswap (ftm) art, the tag for which is "時雨くん" or "Shigure-kun" on Pixiv.
