A parody of Star Wars created by Mel Brooks in 1987.
Like Brooks' other movies (Blazing Saddles, which parodied westerns, and Silent Movie, which parodies silent films), this one parodies the sci-fi genre, mostly Star Wars, but also Star Trek, Alien and Planet of the Apes.
