An elaborate crown, worn normally by Minangkabau women in Sumatra for festive occasions.
It's fan-shaped and typically made from metals, like brass or copper.
May also be called a pasumandan when referring to suntiangs worn by dancers. Likewise, when worn by a bride, it is called a suntiang gadang.
