The story focuses on a group of eighteen people on a secluded island trapped by a typhoon for a period of two days, and the mysterious murders that befall them. Most of these eighteen people are members of the wealthy Ushiromiya family. The division of assets belonging to the ailing head of the Ushiromiya family is a primary source of conflict amongst much of the cast. The story also centers around a group of witches, angels and demons.
