babysitter
A person who temporarily looks after children while their parents are busy. Often played for laughs with an exhausted or annoyed babysitter looking after rambunctious aged down versions of other characters.
Unlike a teacher, this is not necessarily a formal position - older siblings are often assigned a babysitter role, for example.
