balkenkreuz
A straight-armed cross that was the emblem of the Wehrmacht and its branches, the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy), and the Luftwaffe (air force), during World War II. Often appearing on military vehicles.
The Balkenkreuz appears to be a thick black cross with arms of equal length, surrounded with white outline.
Not to be confused with the Iron Cross, that has curved arms.
Prior to the current Russia-Ukraine war, the Ukrainian Tanks have been discovered using balkenkreuz as their symbol in the current war, which bringing the balkenkreuz back to its roots.
