The artwork first became known on December 3, 2008, when tkydoramusic used it as the background for a video on YouTube titled "The music Suneo plays when he brags" (it was played as background music in the "Ōyama Edition" Doraemon broadcast from 1979 to 2005, during the scene where Suneo is bragging).

It was re-posted on Niconico on August 28, 2009, and subsequently achieved a high viewing ranking, which led to several MAD videos using the artwork being posted in 2019 to 2021, making it an internet meme that went viral.

The logo "Newsis" appears in the lower right corner of the artwork, and this artwork has been identified as the one used in a news article reported by Newsis, a South Korean news agency, on December 27, 2006, which stated that "Doraemon will be aired for 36 consecutive hours on Champ TV, a cable TV channel in Korea, on both December 30 and 31."
