A 2001 Comedy movie directed by Robert Luketic based on the novel by Amanda Brown. The movie follows Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon), a bubbly, fashion loving Sorority sister from the California University Los Angeles. When her boyfriend, Warner Huntington III, breaks ups with her on the grounds she is not smart and would not make a perfect spouse if he becomes a politician like his father, Elle, wanting to proof her ex is wrong, attend his university, Harvard Law School, to show everyone who doubts her that she isn't the dumb blonde that everyone think she is.

The movie was praised by critics and a box office hit. It would later have a sequel, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde in 2003 and a popular Broadway musical in 2007.
