machigatta ko wo mahou shoujo ni shite shimatta
Machigatta Ko wo Mahou Shoujo ni Shite Shimatta (間違った子を魔法少女にしてしまった), or Machimaho for short, is a 2016 manga written and illustrated by Souryu.
While fleeing from an evil demon, the divine entity Myu desperately searches for girl worthy of becoming a magical girl who can defeat the horrible monster. Just as the demon catches up to Myu, he spots someone who looks like the perfect candidate. Then she pulls a cigarette out of her pocket. His candidate's name? Majiba Kayo. Her attitude? Bad. Her status? Delinquent.
Before being published as a manga, Souryu uploaded a number of sketches and short comics to Pixiv. Those comics have served as storyboards for the manga. For example, the first manga chapter is mostly an expanded and polished version of the first Pixiv comic. It has been serialized in Kurage Bunch since October 7, 2016. The English version has been published by Dead Sea Entertainment since October 9, 2018 under the localized title I Messed Up and Made the Wrong Person Into a Magical Girl!.
