  • The 2014 annexation of Crimea
  • The Donbas War since 2014
  • The 2021 Russian military buildup near the Ukrainian borders
  • The 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine
  • Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin's mutiny against the Russian military leadership in June 2023, and subsequent death in August
  • The August 2024 surprise incursion of Ukrainian Forces into Kursk Oblast, Russia.
  • North Korea sending their troops in October 2024 at Kursk.
