screw attack (metroid)
An ability in Metroid that allows Samus Aran to perform a kinetically charged somersault into enemies and destructible terrain. In use, the color and appearance can differ between games- but a blur of energy is shown when the attack is performed. It (The physically collected item) is shown as a S-shaped bolt of electricity, over a circle or sphere. The symbol became an official logo for Samus herself.
Can be equipped by any character in Super Smash Bros., should the item spawn during gameplay.
