Animated film by Illumination based on Super Mario Galaxy and the broader Mario series. Serves as the sequel to 2023's The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Released on April 1, 2026 in the United States with a later Japanese showing on April 24, 2026.
So far, it has grossed US$942 million at the box office against a US$110 million budget (the highest-grossing movie in 2026 so far) despite generally mixed or negative reviews from critics which, like the first film, are being offset by positive audience response.
