Let's see if windows 10 is even worse than 8. I'll like to see another Windows so bad it make it predecessor look good, and with the shit that is 8 it'll be tough.
no time to fully translate, but basically this is announcing a naming contest for the character. 5 prizes of shikishi autographed by the character's seiyuunonaka_ai.
Let's see if windows 10 is even worse than 8. I'll like to see another Windows so bad it make it predecessor look good, and with the shit that is 8 it'll be tough.
But I'm sure microsoft can do it. They always do.
Maybe this one will make you want to 'grow taller'.

That's not how Microsoft tends to work.
They make a blindingly stupid OS, (ME) then realize everyone hates it and it's threatening their business, so they make a decent one that listens to what people want so as to make it up to customers. (XP) Then, they let their current stability get to their head, and decide they need to do something "revolutionary", which invariably winds up setting everything on fire and making everyone hate it, (Vista) which means they need to release one that actually listens to what people want again (7) so they can afford to fuck up once more (8).
Keep in mind that 7 was basically just Vista with a service pack. It literally consists of Vista with all the stupid parts taken out.
Hence, 10 is going to be 8 with some of the most annoying features that caused people to refuse to buy 8 toned down. In short, better than 8, but that's not saying much. I'm still not seeing why people should move from 7 to 10.
You can tell this is what's going to happen, as well, because they're giving 10 out for free as an "oh God, please forgive us" to businesses again, which is what they do every time they are desperate for adopters enough to try making an actually decent OS.

As for the -tan, she's not bad, but yeah, a bit plain. She could use some spectacles. We haven't had a meganekko since 2k.
Nah, it will be better if some of the features would return like the start button function... I had troubles with 8 more than the other Windows OS. I still keep XP and had ME installed on a virtual machine and I had both 7 and Vista installed in a dual boot on a laptop. I prefer using XP and 7 and I just hope 10 would be something like those two.
Though 2000 had me almost killed in my vocational examinations.
Yes, that was what I meant. But I was wondering if 10 would be so bad that it makes 8 look good, like how 8 was so bad that 7 became good.
I remember when 7 came out everyone hated it. Then 8 came out and everyone hated it so much that 7 became something desirable.
That and didn't they cancel 7 a while ago and we're all forced to buy 8? Fucking Microsoft. If Macs weren't so damn useless I would have switched to Apple long ago. I long wait for the day when Apple will step their shit up and make a computer that is actually worth using, rather than recycling the same crap only making it smaller and more expensive.

I saw some of the interface for 10. Looks about okay but then again, until you get their product and actually use it you won't know how bad it is. It seems Microsoft is still betting that everyone has a Xbox, Kinect, windows phone, windows surface and a Zune since it seems like 10's biggest feature is connecting all of them to your computer.
Really? All the techies I knew thought it was pretty solid off the bat.
The first few years that 7 came out it supported next to nothing, at least for me and many other people. Everywhere I went I hear people talking about how there is no flash for it, or how adobe don't work for it and etc. etc. Either way, it was just that nobody used it or even praised it until 8 was around the corner similar to how nobody use Microsoft office 2010 until 2012 came out.
You hear people talking about how great 7 is now but back when 7 was release It was rare for anyone to even speak highly of it since XP was still a thing.
Does Win10 at least have a proper Start button again? I find that Win8 actually pretty good despite all its mind-boggling "oh let's cater to the tablet crowd" interface thing. At the very least the sounds were great. Oh and the slightly less informative but much less threatening BSOD screen.

For what it's worth, I actually liked Vista. I adopted early-ish because DirectX 10 was supposed to be mandatory for future gaming, and if you tweaked UAC to just shut up, and shut off Aero, it basically could run like XP. People just didn't shut off UAC because all of the giant warning signs that came with it. 7 basically was Vista with UAC made much less annoying.
Well, Apple is unlikely to ever get its act together, at least in the foreseeable future, as their entire philosophy is that their users are drooling idiots that will buy anything if it's branded and shiny and does everything for them while not giving them any choice.
Apple was once the monolithic titan using monopolistic strangleholds on what people could and couldn't use, and Microsoft its subsidiary until Bill Gates actually decided to give users more of a choice and made DOS. People still look at Apple as some sort of antithesis to Microsoft's heavy-handed practices, but the reason Microsoft rose to the top was because Apple was and is even more tyrannical than Microsoft.
Considering that they're now the most profitable corporation ever in the history of humanity, the odds of them changing their tactics away from making shittier versions of everyone else's junk that sells for several times what they're worth for no intelligible reason to hipsters and other people who think computers are fashion accessories and not tools just because their marketing team apparently sold their soul to Satan for the capacity to sell ice to Eskimos.
Or in other words, if you hate Microsoft, use Linux. If you're really good at programming, you might even be capable of customizing a build of one enough that it will actually work. (Just don't use Gnome, it's got Apple's same "I know what is good for you better than you do, so shut up and do what I want" mentality.) Then you just have to be very sly about the fact you still have to dual-boot to Windows to make any of your games run. If you're not any good at programming, you'll come away from it with a newfound appreciation for Microsoft as being the least fucked-up option.

Are you talking about months? Win8 already appeared 3 (that's a few) years after Win7. I don't personally know a single person who hated Win7. Half of the people I know who tried or used 8 don't like it (at least compared to 7) and a portion of the other half sound like they are forcing themselves to speak well of it since they have to live with it.
But you can't stick to the old forever in the computer world. Let's hope Win10 is worth it after Win7, also in things other than the Dx12, which ought to be a welcome update.
Best of all, Win10 is a free upgrade for the first year! Hmm... That cute Win10-tan only favours those who have the guts to approach her without hesitation.

I've had bad experience with Windows and Microsoft. Seeing as how 10 is just coming out, I think I'll wait a little longer and see how well it performs and how good, or bad, people will talk about it. I've had enough of buying Microsoft's products early only for it to fuck me in the ass hard. I once got a surface tablet and the damn thing broke the moment I brought it home.
Free or not, I'm not taking a chance. Not this time Billy. Not this time.
There was Yuu and Ai from Windows 8 but they must have been kicked out of the family or faded into the mists of time. Art of those are still on Danbooru.
Shame that Windows 10-tan is set 100 years, Nanami was cute with her voice pack, but alas... Microsoft wants to kill Windows 7 to push us to Windows 10.
I still use it (7) as a daily driver, mainly because I don't know what Windows 10 will be like. I might try it inside a VM when it goes gold, but for now I'm staying with Windows 7. Been burnt too many times with 8.1...
