Am I the only one who finds Sugmori's new eye style extremely ugly?
I haven't followed the Pokemon Art very much so i can't quite see the changes but i have some vivid memories of early Pokemon Art and i think the eyes have changed a bit, and maybe they are way too skinny now? I'd like to know why do you state such thing.

Well, thinking a little deeper into this,it's not just the eyes actually. His art feels a lot more simple overall. He had this weird yet mysteriously beautiful shading style, now it feels just flat.
While I agree his style has definitely changed and perhaps lost the subtle shading it used to have, along with the obvious emphasis on the eyes now, I think I like the distinctness of his new style.

That's because there are more artists drawing them. Ohmura comes to mind for characters design (you can tell by comparing their eyes, mouth and color choice). I know there's a woman designing some pokémon as well (Sylveon).
