I think Inazuma and Hibiki are eating that blasphemous "Napolitan" or whatever, that's spaghetti made with ketchup or something. I can't imagine why omelette rice would garner such looks, at least.
(Also, they're ALL eating something with plain ketchup on it... kids, indeed.)

Hey, if you're making instant, there's literally no difference in how the water is heated, just so long as it is. Not that I don't prefer loose-leaf when I have the time to do it, of course.
Not that I'm Italian myself, and I don't personally care what sauce they drench the pasta in, or whether it's cooked perfectly al dente, but if I have to eat mushy pasta again, somebody is going to be stabbed with a fork. Preferably a blunt one.
(Yes, I know, most Asian noodles are arguably 'sturdier' [or rather, springier, thanks to the lye-water often used], but that doesn't mean you have to boil pasta to death.)
Did someone say spaghetti made with ketchup and tomato sauce?
Because that's how it is (improperly) done here in PHL. The excessive sour taste of tomatoes is balanced by the catsup (which is modified by banana content, apparently a Philippine innovation) that would naturally taste more appealing to kids.
Now i'm curious if Roma and Littorio saw me making a miso ramen with spaghetti boiled in salt water and a bit of baking powder as the substitute for the ramen..
The two ladies from Pastaland......are looking at us with a really serious expression, like they want to tell us something-nodesu.
