Though... shouldnt she just limp when she walks and she can't walk far or even run for a short time?
Are you saying that if given a chance you wouldn't opt getting princess carried around by Kongou, especially if your legs aren't really that good thanks to the Hochseeflotte&Luftwaffe?
isn't even remotely as easy to fix. And in many cases can't be fixed at all.
If the ships at Pearl Harbor can be raised and rebuilt, and any number of ships with missing bows (USS Washington and Jintsuu come to mind), there is very little that can't be fixed. Whether it's feasible or economical on the other hand is a separate issue.
It wasn't "some dumbass reason". Aside from the direct damage to the steering gear, there was also structural damage, which isn't even remotely as easy to fix. And in many cases can't be fixed at all.

During the thirties they basically replace Warspite everything during a refit. She got new boilers, turbines, turrets, entirely new superstructure, more armor, the works...
The Royal Navy basically had her rebuilt.
But they didn't fix her steering gear, and the structure damage didn't happen until WW2 during the Frits X attack.
So yes it was some dumb reason, if you are replacing the engines (which are in the center of the ship where all the armor is) you can also be fixing the steering system which is at the stern in a far less armor section...

You really don't seem to know what you're talking about. Or, at least, you're misunderstanding what I'm saying.
Ships have an internal structure that supports everything and holds it all in place, like the huge steel beams in a building, or a skeleton. Everything else is supported on, or within that structure. So the refit replaced/upgraded things within the compartments, but the damaged areas of the structure couldn't be replaced because they're a key structural component of the ship. You can repair the damage, to the best of your ability, but it's always going to be weaker. And that's why Warspite's steering was an issue for the duration of her service, not because they didn't bother to fix the steering.

In other words: While Warspite may have gotten new organs and muscles, her badly-healed femur left her with a limp.

Thing is her structure WASNT DAMAGE AT JUTLAND. It got damage in WW2. Her bones were untouch by battle until 1943 on September 9 when she was hit by the Frits-X. No way in any of the post Jutland battle damage reports say anywhere that she had structure damage.
She wasn't bent, dented yes, but not bent.
The hit that took mess up her steering was to the port side engine room for the steering gear. Which can and have been replace, the US did so with the West Virginia after Pearl. They actually did replace the entire system twice and the thing still jammed at the worst times causing her to nearly ram more then a few ships when the entire system jammed up.
Then you ought to help fix the apparently erroneous Wikipedia article; I read it yesterday as I had never read the story of Warspite, and there's at least two instances of attempts at fixing her steering while in dock citing damage from Jutland.

Wrong, she was damaged, quite badly, at Jutland. As for her steering problems, those stem from a hit to her port-wing engine room that caused her steering to jam. While her steering was fixed inside of ten minutes, she was plagued by steering irregularities for the rest of her career, according to Wikipedia (YMMV).

Leaving aside wikipedia's tendency to be written by people who have no expertise the subject matter, here is a transcripted version of Warspite's damage report after Jutland. Relevant sections are:
At 6.18 p.m. course was altered to the northward, following the motions of " Barham " and " Valiant," but as we were apparently closing " Malaya " I ordered Port 20°, and then the steering gear commenced to give trouble.
7. I have been unable to ascertain the exact cause of the trouble, as subsequent events followed rapidly in succession, and " Warspite " closed the enemy's battle fleet so rapidly that she came under a very heavy fire. However, after careful investigation I have elucidated the following facts:—
(a) The thrust bearing on the steering engine heated, probably owing to the ship having been hit about this time, but it was impossible to distinguish in the Conning Tower between hits and shell falling close alongside.
The result of this was a slowing up of the steering engine.
(b) Taking into consideration that the ship was steaming 25 knots at the time, the helm was put over far too quickly.
(c) The telemotor gearing from the lower conning tower to engine room was bent, probably as a result of (a) and (b) above.
The propelling and auxiliary machinery and boilers were uninjured. Several Fresh Water and Brine pipes in various localities were fractured or damaged, and the machinery of the Steam Pinnace was damaged, also the funnel and ventilating cowls, the propellor being twisted. The exhaust pipe of the Port Steering Engine was partially flattened out, but not perforated. The lever of the differential valve of this engine was bent, owing to the telemotor gear over-running the engine.

Also according to the book Warspite by Ian Ballantyne. The RN tried to fix the steering issues numerous times, often thinking they'd had it licked, only for it to foul up again at the worst possible time later. After they repaired the initial damage from Jutland, they never really figured out why it kept having so many issues.
Here is quote from teh book on the damage in question: "As the 5th Battle Squadron joined the Grand Fleet and turned into line, the Warspite narrowly avoided being squashed between the Valiant and Malaya. Turning hard, her steering jammed because it had already been damaged by the shell which hit near the port wing engine room. The after bulkhead of the centre engine room – to which the steering engine was fixed – had buckled. This had created a ‘hot bearing’ so that, when the wheel was rotated too quickly during the turn to avoid Valiant, the steering jammed. Like a car driver missing his turning on a roundabout, Captain Phillpotts decided it was better to go around again and keep moving than stop and reverse course while under fire from the entire German fleet. Control of the guns was immediately devolved down to individual turrets, it being impossible for the control tops to function in such wild circumstances"
So yes, with a buckled bulkhead, you very much have structural damage.
i don't know how to take this, it's some heartbreak but warming at same time, maybe?
Though Warspite isn't a cripple so to speak, her hip injury during Jutland should be at times giving her a bit of trouble as per the ship's history of her issues not really going away even after retrofitting the shit out of the flippin dread. Seeing that her engines were okay and were replaced during the retrofitting, there's no problem for her to go on fairly long walks though she'd have a barely noticeable limp in doing so. The whole seating and wheelchair part is probably her to not overexert that injury (if I remember right, even healed joints can potentially derp if something did happen, what more of any healed injury in the hips or legs).
But who cares bout that? Anyone who likes her highness would like to trade with Kongou in princess carrying this sweet girl around...

*slowly falls in line*
Thanks for the info. That injury are really dangerous But yeah, the princess carrying is priceless
