How odd. She isn't oozing murderous intent.

She's mocking the sake for not being strong enough.

I guess to a country, that's like shoving your dick all the way in and her saying "that tickles". Ah nippon, such weak and useless culture, only good for it's moe appeal. jk.

Well at least you could say perhaps Japan is more refined than the cruder western countries, choosing the path of moderation over gluttony.

Especially the US. I watched a video showing that the Italians do drink wine as part of the culture but they had more moderation than the Americans themselves.

It's actually because of the drinking culture - if you teach someone their limits in a safe space like with family, they are unlikely to get themselves drunk later in life. If someone doesn't ever drink until they get to frat houses, which push them to chug, then you have high rates of alcoholism because they learn alcohol is for getting completely smashed.

Yeah that as well. It's pretty sad why they don't teach kids to learn this.

As much as I'd like it if that were the case, that's not really how alcoholism works. Learning moderation is definitely a good thing; you're dead right about that, and if one learns it before they're out on their own in the world, great. But really early exposure to alcohol (or whatever your substance of choice might be) isn't so good, and if that person has the gene for addiction, they're already going to be at a greater risk no matter what they're taught.

(This is no attack on you, by the way--I'm just making the comment that the issue is a great deal trickier than, "If they learn it in a safe place, they'll turn out a lot better.")

    And to keep this on-topic:
I'm pretty sure most regular (non-fortified, obviously) Italian table wines typically have an alcohol content lower than that of sake (or about equal to it, in some cases). Maybe Pola's used to really high-ABV dessert wines? Or maybe she's just commenting on the taste.
